Canucks put out the Flames!

Christy and I had the chance to go to a Canucks game with a couple from our church that are season ticket holders. We thought it was really cool until we found out it was section 114, row 1, seat 1, and then we were ecstatic!
It was great to see the Canucks pull out of the slump they were in too. 6-2 win over Calgary. It was Christy's first time seeing a game and she said she likes hockey more now that she's seen it live.

Teri and Jonathan babysat and got our kids down no sweat.

We loved the night, and we thank Dan and Sue for the opportunity of a lifetime!

A day outside

We spent a lot of the day outside today, Jayson loved helping daddy wash the car and splash in the puddles. Emily liked exploring in our back yard too.

Here is a video from Dinner... mmm... squash soup!

Here are some pictures of the kids in our backyard...

Petrolium Jelly

Well, our little son had some adventures last night. He did not want to go down to bed, and when he got quiet we thought that he was asleep. But then, we heard the tap running so Christy ran up there and found Jayson in the sink. He was trying to rinse himself off from getting into the Vaseline. hmmm.... water.... vaseline.... clean? no. MESS!

Emily the talker

Kid update:
Our little girl is constantly talking. yes, she's advanced. I (Wes) walk in the room and she says "hi Dah!" It's really cute. She's pretty proud of herself. She also says "What's that?!" and "Wow" "Uh-oh" "Mum" and her vocabulary is growing daily. She also took some great naps yesterday. I think it might have been the first in her whole life! (I'm documenting this so that we remember that she actually took a sufficient nap.) Yes, she still isn't sleeping through the night but we think she is turning a corner.

Jayson is doing really well at telling stories of things he has seen. Today the gardeners left a ladder in our back yard and he was trying to tell us that "they lost the ladder". He also talked about Chubby the Squirrel from our backyard. Yes, it's cute... Sometimes hard to follow, but being a parent is a lot of fun.

Anyway, off I go to work.
